especially in medical establishments, educational environments, places of worship? The one from Helen Irlen is very helpful. Perhaps Drs. Havas, Ciuffreda, Perlmann would be willing to do this as well?

Thank you for the info. Sorry for the error. We’ll correct it.

If you have a problem with CFLs, please be certain that the problems are very serious. Perhaps you may want to read Dr. Ciuffreda’s study under the “Studies” tab. Also, Dr. Havas’ research, in the videos on the Home page, may be of interest. The 16X9 videos are quite interesting as they show how CFLs affect some people. We are grateful to our Canadian neighbors for their hard work on these issues.

What do you mean by “type A” and “Type B” diabetes? I have type 2, and know some people with tpe 1. There are several other classifications, as a quick look on the net will show you. You could try Wikipedia for starters.

Thank you. Your suggestion is appreciated.

As you can see, Dr. Kenneth Ciuffreda has also done research on this topic. In fact I have glasses made with a tint he recommended to filter out some of the flicker from the CFLs.

A significant proportion of the population (perhaps up to 15%) are adversely affected by their exposure to fluorescent lights, especially in terms of reading ability, fatigue and headaches. While her work only covers a small subset of the adverse effects of fluorescent lights, even predating CFl’s, some people may find it helpful to look at her website: http://www.irlen.com for suggestions on how to make accommodations in the school/workplace. As computer monitors are now mainly fluorescent back lit, they can trigger adverse symptoms as well.
